Here at Gill Learning, we are a small, passionate, family-run business -- but only two of us are employed full-time. Michael wears a second hat: his full-time day job is as a self-driving vehicles Project Engineer at HORIBA MIRA.
Recently, Michael sat down for an on-camera interview with his colleague, Sarah Windrum, in the ninth instalment of HORIBA MIRA's Ingenuity video podcast series. He and Sarah chat away for almost three quarters of an hour, covering everything from Michael's recent leadership of a project in Belfast, known as Harlander, to how he uses statistics (Maths!) in his day-to-day working life to assess the performance of self-driving vehicles. Michael also talks about his passion as an educator, STEM careers advice, and the origin story of Gill Learning from the ~34:25 mark.
Since this is such a great opportunity for students and parents alike to meet Michael, we wanted to share it with the Gill Learning community as well!
So watch Episode No.9 of the Ingenuity podcast below for an inspiring insight into the life of a Physics graduate, a STEM professional 5 years into his career, and a Project Engineer at the forefront of tomorrow's technology.
